Tipton Co. prostitution sting nets arrests

COVINGTON, Tenn. — An undercover prostitution sting in Tipton County ends with four people behind bars. Members of the 25th Judicial Drug Task Force and Tipton County investigators conducted the operation targeting “Escort” advertisements on www.backpage.com. According to officers, a decoy called the numbers on the ads Oct. 8 and arranged a meeting at a local motel. Anna Marie Wigley, 23, and April Michelle Montoro, 37, both of Memphis, as well as Crystal Lynn Hall, 25, of Wright City, Mo., were arrested and charged with prostitution violations. Barron Tyrone Eddings, 32, of Memphis, also was taken into custody. He was charged with a seat belt violation, driving on a revoked license and possession with intent to sell. Officers seized Xanax and hydrocodone pills and a 2000 Nissan Maxima, which was being driving by Eddings. Investigators said Hall had three active warrants in Lincoln County, Mo., for probation violations for theft and drug counts. She is being held pending extradition to Missouri. Wigley remains in custody in lieu of $1,000 bond. Eddings is free on $10,000 bond. Montoro is free on $1,000 bond. The four are scheduled to appear Nov. 18 in Tipton County General Sessions Court.
