Man arrested after police say he was asleep at wheel

EAST JACKSON — Jackson police arrested a man Monday night after they say he was sleeping behind the wheel at the intersection of North Parkway and North Royal Street. Latodd Traylor faces several drug charges along with use of a firearm in a dangerous situation, felony unlawful carrying of a weapon and public intoxication. According to court documents, officers approached a white Ford Ranger that was not moving. After looking into the car, they say Traylor was asleep. Officers also noticed a strong odor consistent with marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers recovered a few hundred dollars worth of drugs as well as a firearm from the vehicle. Traylor is being held awaiting his arraignment.
