Early voting to begin Wednesday

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Early voting begins Wednesday across Tennessee for the November election. In Madison County, the election commission prepared Tuesday to open its doors at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. Some of the races in the state include the race for governor and several state constitutional amendments, such as Amendment One, or the “abortion amendment.” Election officials remind voters to bring government-issued photo ID. “Doing all these things ahead of time makes sense, makes the process go so much more smoothly for the voter and for the election commission, and for the people standing in line behind the voter,” said Kim Buckley with the Madison County Election Commission. Contact your county’s election commission office for times and locations for early voting. Early voting continues until Oct. 30. Election day is Nov. 4.
