JACKSON, Tenn.- Students attending Jackson State Community College now have an option to continue their post-secondary education at the state’s largest undergraduate university. The presidents of Middle Tennessee State University and Jackson State Community College signed agreements Thursday in Jackson that will ease the transition for students transfer from the West Tennessee college to the University in Murfressboro. It was the last stop of MTSU’s 2012 “True Blue” Tour. “We have formalized arrangements so that a student can attend Jackson State Community college and then without missing a beat and without losing a credit can continue to middle tennessee state university to continue on to a bachelor’s and beyond,” said Dr. Bruce Blanding, president of Jackson State Community College. This dual admission program allows Jackson State students to get MTSU advising, registration priority and admission while still attending the college.
