School resource officer finds toy gun on school bus

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — Jackson-Madison County School System spokesperson Ginger Carver said a student resource officer found a toy gun on a school bus Wednesday morning. Carver told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News the officer was on the bus due to National School Bus Safety Week and that the fifth-grade student never made it in the school with the toy gun. According to Jackson-Madison County Schools Superintendent Verna Ruffin, the student has been disciplined.
