JCM no longer on lockdown from Lane Avenue shooting

EAST JACKSON — Jackson Central-Merry High School was placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon because of a nearby shooting, according to school officials. All JCM students have been released from lockdown by the advisement of the Jackson Police Department, according to a release from the school system. A shooting was reported just after 2 p.m. on Lane Avenue, according to Jackson police. Stay with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News for updates.
