Ark. police arrest two teens in alleged Brownsville carjacking

BROWNSVILLE, Tenn. — Two teenagers accused in an early morning carjacking Thursday in Brownsville have been arrested in Arkansas, according to police. Arthur Wayne Johnson, 19, of Jackson and Patrick Dylan Long, also known as Patrick Dylan Benard, 18, of Brownsville were arrested Thursday in Marion, Ark., according to the Brownsville Police Department. Benard was arrested 8 a.m. Thursday, and Johnson was arrested just after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Crittenden County (Ark.) Sheriff’s Office website. Both are facing multiple charges including theft and aggravated assault. According to a police report, the alleged carjacking happened around 3 a.m. Thursday as a woman was waiting in the parking lot of a Brownsville Walmart. The woman told police two suspects, described as white men, first asked for directions and then pulled out knives, stealing her gold 2008 Honda Civic. Johnson’s bond was set at $75,000, and Benard’s bond was set at $35,000.
