Christmas decorations surface early at one home in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn.– A family in West Jackson decided to skip Halloween’s spooky theme and instead began to decorate for Christmas. The Williams family set-up the decorations about two weeks ago and decided to skip the spooky holiday because of its grim nature. “There’s already enough hell out here, so there is no reason to set-up for Halloween. So we decided to skip it and move on to something that put us in the cheerful spirit. So, mother got out all the decorations and began setting them up to raise spirits in the neighborhood,” said Laronica Carter. The Williams family said they have been putting up decorations early for many years. The reason they put up all the elaborate decorations is for the purpose of getting the whole family involved and in the holiday spirit. ” It’s great to get the kids out here to help us, and we have a lot of fun as a family doing what we do,” Carter said. The Williams said half of their decorations are not even up yet. They said they hope their lawn to be fully filled with fun-spirited decorations before the Thanksgiving holiday.
