Man shot by ex-wife is formally charged

McNAIRY COUNTY, Tenn. — A man was formally charged Thursday in a Sept. 23 incident where police say he was shot three times by his ex-wife during a domestic incident at her home. Jeff Carrol was arraigned in McNairy County General Sessions Court on kidnapping, domestic assault, burglary and vandalism charges. He is scheduled to appear again Dec. 4. Carrol was placed under house arrest and is being monitored by an ankle bracelet due to a medical furlough as he recovers from injuries that do not allow him to be placed in jail. Carol initially was hospitalized and later was arrested in Itawamba County, Miss.
