CHESTER COUNTY, Tenn. — More than 300 motorcyclists rode through Henderson Sunday for the Chester County Toy Ride. The toy ride started at Walmart South in Jackson, and bikers rode 13 miles to the Henderson Elks Lodge where there was a band and silent auction. Everyone was encouraged to bring along a children’s toy or make a donation to benefit the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse. The toys will be given to more than 200 children for Christmas. “This has just steadily grown and grown over the years, and the guys that put it all together do an amazing job,” said Clay Jordan with the Chester County Exchange-Club Carl Perkins Center. “We’re very thankful to be the recipients of their generosity year after year.” According to organizers, Sunday’s turnout was the best they have seen in the event’s 21-year history.
