Gibson Co. commissioners vote again to ban guns at meetings

TRENTON, Tenn. — Gibson County commissioners voted to keep their meetings “gun free.” Commissioners originally voted to not allow guns back in September after some felt uncomfortable having holstered firearms in the room. According to Mayor Tom Witherspoon, a member of the Tennessee Firearms Association and some board members argued Monday guns should be allowed. But commissioners once again overwhelmingly voted to keep the ban in place.
