Derek Chauvin trial kicks off with opening statements
(CBS Newspath) — The trial of Derek Chauvin has gotten underway. The former Minneapolis police officer is accused of murdering George Floyd last May by kneeling on his neck for almost nine minutes. Skyler Henry is outside the courthouse where opening statements are happening today.
