DOT foods hiring after construction anniversary

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Food redistruibutor DOT Food is hiring after construction began exactly one year ago. The new facility is located in Dyersburg, and company officials said it already has about 110 employees on payroll. They said they are seeking to add dozens more to that list including warehouse workers and truck drivers. “We’ve actually had about 5,000 applications, which is a great deal more than what we typically get,” said General Manager Tim Loyd. He said the new facility is a $24 million investment and the ninth newest DOT Foods location. Longtime Dyersburg resident Heather Hassell was one of the facility’s newest employees. “I just want to say how extremely pleased I am that DOT choose Dyersburg,” Hassell said. “I think it’s going to be great for our community.” Officials said a break room with video games, a ping pong table and cable television will be available to employees to make them feel like family.
