JACKSON, Tenn. — A string of shootings this weekend has Jackson police asking for help. Investigators are not linking the three shootings at this time. The latest shooting happened early Sunday morning when a house and car on Baltimore Street were shot into. No one was injured. Saturday evening, a home on Lee Street was also shot into, according to police. Investigators say they recovered shell casings from the scene. No one was injured in the incident Police say a man was hurt Saturday night when he was shot in the leg along the 1400 Block of Royal Street. Officers say he was not cooperative. Investigators believe witnesses can help find the gunmen responsible in all three weekend shootings. “It’s very, very important in a situation like this,” said Lt. Phillip Stanfill with the Jackson Police Department. “Victims don’t always see what’s going on because they are caught up in the moment. Sometimes an outside witness standing back a ways can tell us more than somebody who was actually involved.” If you have information that could help officers in any of these cases, call Jackson police or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-TIPS (8477).
