City leaders sat the rounds of severe weather that swept through Milan in late April, have caused millions in damage to downtown businesses. In some cases, stores have been forced to close completely, including a florist next to City Hall. The Mayor’s office and City Council chambers were also damaged when parts of the roof were taken off by high winds. City leaders say roof damage is the major finding after these storms. Several windows were also shattered by the storms. Building Inspectors estimate it could take more than 6 months to repair the buildings.
