Bruceton in May Gets Underway

In Carroll County, one city is hosting an event for the 10th time that is fun for all. The Bruceton in My Festival got underway, Friday night. Organizers said there is bar-b-que cook-off, train rides and train rides and a concerts featuring the “24/7” and the “Sawyers Mill Band.” If you like a little exercise with your fun, there is a 5K presented by the First United Methodist Church Relay for Life team and the First Baptist Relay for Life team is sponsoring a dog show. “Everybody wants to go to the big cities and what-not. But you can’t beat a small town where everybody knows everybody else,” said Laura Keeton, the Bruceton in May festival organizer. “Everybody helps everybody else and that’s what, we’re a small town. We’re proud of it. But we have a good time and we can show you a good time, I think as good as some of the big ones.” The Bruceton in May Festival continues through Saturday evening.
