Little’s Jewelry Theft Arrest

A Jackson man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at Little’s Jewelers in February. Officers said Lee Triplett, 29, who is also an employee of the store, was charged with accessory after the fact to armed robbery, accessory after the fact to aggravated kidnapping and theft of property over $60,000. Investigators believe Triplett, along with a Memphis man are responsible for the robbery at the store on Vann Drive, February 16. Investigators said a tip they received about Triplett’s alleged involvement led them to Dallas, Texas, where they recovered evidence. They tell ABC 7 Eyewitness News Triplett received $10,000 in jewelry was stolen. “During our investigation we were able to determine that Mr. Triplett had been in possession of, at a minimum, $10,000 worth of merchandise from the store so he has been charged and we’re going to continue to investigate, and we’re looking to question a Memphis man in connection with this robbery and we believe that Triplett and this man are acquaintances, ” said Lieutenant Tyreece Miller of the Jackson Police Department. Triplett’s preliminary hearing is set for May 26 in city court. He remains jailed in lieu of $200,000 bond.
