Gaylord Makes Land Donation
Gaylord Opryland Resort of Nashville has made an unspecified donation to The Land Trust for Tennessee to be used to preserve land.
The money will go to Nashville’s Open Space Plan, which calls for the preservation of 22,000 acres of public and private land over the next 25 years.
As part of the campaign, the Land Trust is leading efforts to get private funding for the purchase of the 135-acre Cornelia Fort Airpark near the hotel.
Gaylord and the Land Trust said they are in a partnership aimed at reducing energy and water consumption and promoting the conservation of land.
The Land Trust works to protect river corridors, wildlife habitats, agricultural lands, historic and scenic sites and urban open spaces.
