Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital Garners Honor
The children’s hospital at Vanderbilt University is once again being ranked as one of the best in the nation.
U.S. News & World Report gave rankings to 10 out of 10 pediatric specialty programs at the children’s hospital.
The hospital pediatric urology unit continued to be a leader, this year ranking fifth in the country.
The Division of Neonatology maintained its No. 11 spot. The hospital’s pediatric cardiology and heart surgery program moved up this year from 26th to 20th in the nation.
Other pediatric specialty programs ranked this year include: cancer, diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopedics and pulmonology.
The U.S. News rankings are calculated by using patient outcomes, survival rates, nurse staffing and other factors.
