Club 52 Closed for Good

Haywood County leaders say the controversial “Club 52” will not be reopening. The business has been closed every since a deadly fight back in February. Sheriff Melvin Bond says the community, and the property owner have been fighting the club operator to keep the business closed. As of now, the county beer board has ‘not released’ the alcohol permit to the business, an official says. Sources told ABC 7 Eyewitness News a V-F-W post may be looking to rent or purchase the property. Sheriff Bond says he welcomes that idea.
