Federal officials continue to fan out across the West Tennessee area, supplying help to flood victims. In Lake County, FEMA officials have opened a disaster recovery center at the National Guard Armory in Tiptonville. FEMA leaders said, if you apply, you could be approved the same day and the funds could be available in 72 hours to 10 days. But before you apply, there are several key pieces of information you will need to have with you. They are, proof of identification, your Social Security number, proof of ownership of property and any other documents related to what was lost. Centers are also open in Dyersburg and the city of Obion.
