Jewelry Theft Case Waived to Grand Jury

One of two suspects in the robbery of Little’s Jewelers will now have his case heard by a Madison County Grand Jury. Thursday, Lee Triplett, 29, waived his right to a preliminary hearing, allowing the case to move forward. He is charged with accessory after the fact to both aggravated armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping and theft over $60,000. Triplett, along with an unknown second man are suspected of robbing the north Jackson jewelry store. Triplett remained jailed in lieu of $200,000 bond.
