Financial Management Campaign Launched
Do you know how to improve your credit score or have questions about how to better manage your money? Area leaders said they have a way to help and you never have to leave your home. The online personal financial management program was unveiled, Thursday at The Chamber in downtown Jackson. Organizers said the online classes could not have come at a better time, as studies have shown more than 40 percent of Americans admit to living beyond their means. The web-based course is also aimed at helping West Tennesseans learn how they can afford their own homes . “If an individual is better financially educated, they will be able to better manage their money, invest it, grow their assets and achieve their dreams, said Barry Matthews, vice president of First State Bank. This program was launched through a local partnership known as the Jackson-Madison County Home Ownership Alliance.
