Man Hit by Train in Humboldt

In Humboldt, authorities there are investigating an early morning accident, where a man was hit by a train. According to investigators, the incident happened on the CSX railroad tracks near Dotson and 17th Street around 12:15, Thursday morning. The victim, whose name has not been released, is said to be a 49-year-old white man, he was taken to The Med in Memphis by Air Evac with serious injuries. Investigators are looking into whether the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
