Lexington City Election Candidates Announced
The City of Lexington has officially released who will be on the ballot for the upcoming September elections. Today at noon marked the deadline for all qualifying candidates to turn in their applications. Sergeant Major Tim Pierce and former mayor Bennie M. Scott will face off for the city mayor positions. All but one of the seven incumbent Alderman will be facing at least one opponent. Early voting in Lexington is August 19th through September 8th and the official election day September 8th. The last day to register to vote is August 9th.
