“Hardworking very fair man, Charlie was the kind of person to do work for you and undercharge you. He was that type of fella,” explained Tim Carter. Carter was a regular at Charlie Reagan’s Supreme Muffler Center in Milan. He said Charlie has been apart of the Milan community for 18 years, not only as a business man but as a friend. On Thursday, authorities said someone spotted Charlie on the ground in his shop’s garage, bleeding and asking for help. “I was actually just blown away by it,” said Carter. His family is in shock. “I run into all these types of situations, but never this close to home,” explained Gary Reagan. Reagan is one of Charlie’s seven brothers. They have one sister as well. He can not understand why anyone would purposefully hurt his younger brother, especially since he said, Charlie used his gift of fixing cars to help anyone in need. “Charlie would bend over backwards to help anybody. It was just Charlie. If a customer was dissatisfied he would bend over to help make it right,” added Reagan. Reagan said Charlie was a preacher, and if he was not at church or at his shop, he was on the football field or pounding the pavement. “Runs the Boston Marathon, runs a lot of 5k races, avid [Milan] Bulldog fan, and he runs flags on the field during games,” added Reagan. Police said money was taken from Charlie but as of Thursday night, they would not say robbery was the motive in his murder. No arrests have been made. But officers worked late into Thursday night hoping to track down a person linked to the scene.
