Hardeman County Deputies Make Arrest in Hostage Investigation
It seems like a case straight out of the movies – a suspected drug dealer kidnaps a man, holds him for ransom and has his “muscle” beat him with their fists and a hammer. That is the case Hardeman County investigators say they are dealing with this week. Tremayne Holloway faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment (two counts), extortion, simple possession of marijuana and possession of Zanax. Deputies said on Tuesday, the victim’s girlfriend contact them after Holloway demanded $250 in exchange for his freedom. Investigators waited in the wings as the exchange took place outside a grocery store in Saulsbury. Deputies were able to rush in and arrest Holloway, who they believe helped beat the victim for an entire night. “Actually they even sent photographs where they had assaulted him to let them know they were serious about doing bodily harm to the subject,” said Inv. Steaven Joy with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Department. “The subject was beat pretty badly.” Investigators say Holloway admitted to the kidnapping and demanding a ransom. He currently remains jailed in Hardeman County.
