Lexington Still Working on Power
Residents of some areas of Henderson and Decatur County who were victims of a weekend storm remain without power going into the week. Managers with Lexington Electric tell us this is one of the worst power system damages they have had in years. Nearly 15,000 customers initially lost power when the storm hit on Saturday morning. On Monday Lexington Electric and Carroll County Electric employees were hard at work throughout the day to get the nearly 1,000 customers who still were out of power. Utility managers say if you are still experiencing a power outage, continue calling their office and make sure your name is on their list. They hope to have the number of outages down to about 100 by Tuesday morning.
