Union Registration Begins
Union University was buzzing with excitement as hundreds of eager students invaded the campus, Monday. Nearly 570 new freshmen and transfer students attended a campus-wide luncheon, Monday afternoon as part of the university’s summer registration and orientation for the 2011-2012 school year. University leaders said the event gives each student a chance to adjust to all aspects of campus life and allows them to meet with faculty and advisors who will help them chose which courses are best for them. One incoming freshman who spoke with ABC 7 Eyewitness News said the day has been a dream come true. “This really is kinda my first real college experience, especially when it’s with people I’m going to be with,” said Haaken Magnuson, an incoming freshman “Meeting roommates and get to see my room it really just becoming real so its really exciting.” Union University’s new school year begins Tuesday, August 23.
