Abandoned House Burns in Jackson

Jackson firefighters battled a fire at an abandoned home in midtown Jackson, Monday afternoon. It is the second fire at the same address in the past month. Just before 1, firefighters were called to a home on McCowat Street after flames were seen shooting from the house. Investigators said since no one lives in the home and utilities have not been connected in at least a year, the fire is being considered suspicious. The investigation continues into the cause.
