Jackson Police Investigate Shooting

An apparent random shooting in north Jackson has a driver hospitalized in stable condition. Jackson police said as a man was driving in the area of Wallace Road between Carriage House Drive and Wiley Parker Road, just after 3 p.m., Thursday, his car was shot at. Bullets went flying into his car, hitting him several times in the lower back, according to police. The 20-year-old victim told police he was driving south on Wallace Road near Davidfield Cove when he heard gunfire. However he said he did not see where the shots came from.
