Jackson schools name new human capitol officer

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Jackson educator and administrator will take the reigns as the new chief human capitol officer for the Jackson-Madison County School System. Superintendent Dr. Verna Ruffin announced Tuesday that Dr. Tiffany Green will take over the position, according to a release from the school system. Green currently serves as principal for Whitehall Pre-K Center, a position she has held for four years, according to the release. She also serves as the district’s Pre-K director. “I am just excited to be able to do this, to serve in this capacity for our district, to make sure that all of our students have the most effective employees working with them to help us move forward,” Green said. Green received a doctoral degree in leadership and professional practice and master’s degree in educational leadership from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, the release states. She also serves as an adjunct professor for the university. She earned her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Tennessee at Martin and also is licensed as a Pre-K-3 teacher and Pre-K-12 administrator, according to the release. Green previously has taught in Humboldt City Schools. She is a graduate of Gibson County High School in Dyer.
