Two charged in Jackson home invasion shooting to see grand jury

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — Two men charged in an east Jackson home invasion that sent a 14-year-old boy to the hospital with a gunshot wound will have their case heard by a grand jury. Daron Thompson and Nathaniel Walker were in court Thursday where a judge determined there was probable cause in the Oct. 30 incident that sent a 14-year-old boy to the hospital with a gunshot wound to his side. Thompson is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated burglary and firearms charges. Walker is charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and firearms charges. According to arrest warrants, the 14-year-old victim identified both suspects out of photo lineups. Court documents said the boy told investigators Walker hit him with a gun and Thompson shot him.
