BOLIVAR, Tenn — Bolivar police officers made a sixth arrest Friday afternoon, in connection with six shootings that occurred in the past two weeks. The newest arrest was Caleb Harris. Police said that the convicted felon was arrested at his girlfriend’s house, while possessing drugs and a gun. Residents on Mitchell Street said that they have heard gunshots almost every night for the past month. Investigators said that once they receive a call about a shooting, then arrive on scene, no one at the location wants to give them information. Resident L.V. Mason said that some resident fear retaliation. “A lot of people are afraid that people may come after them if they see them on TV or hear them doing that. They don’t want it to be known that they are calling,” said Mason. Officers said to catch the criminals they need help and trust from the community.
