Madison Co. shooting sends one to hospital; no arrests

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — No arrests have been made in a midnight shooting in Madison County that sent one man to the hospital, according to the sheriff’s department. The incident started at Love’s Travel Stop along Interstate 40 in east Madison County and ended at a location along Betty Manley Road in west Madison County, according to Madison County Sheriff John Mehr. Mehr said the victim was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to a hospital in Memphis. He said the victim is from Memphis. The sheriff also said they are questioning two people but that no charges have been filed.
