Thanksgiving Craft 3- Elegant Mantle Piece
Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and when you’re set to make a huge meal for your family, you might not have the budget for elaborate decorations This is a unique craft you can make to get your home into the holiday spirit, all while maintaining a budget. This third craft is a simple and beautiful way to spruce up your mantle. What you’ll need: 1) a candle (the one we used is 6 inches tall) 2) 3 kinds of beans or peas (we used light red kidney beans, white beans, and split peas) 3) a large hurricane vase 4) scissors 5) twine What to do: 1) Gather materials. 2) Pour a layer (about 3 inches thick) of each kind of beans or peas to fill the vase. 3) If you have a large candle, fill the vase about half way. The stick your candle into the vase. You can then keep filling up the vase to make the candle shorter. 4) Cut a large piece of twine. 5) Tie the twine tight around the center of the vase and make it into a bow. This craft cost about $15 to make, and the idea came from Pinterest.
