Police make DUI arrest in Vann Drive hit-and-run

NORTH JACKSON — Police have made an arrest in a Wednesday hit-and-run accident on Vann Drive that sent one man to the hospital, according to the Jackson Police Department. A man is charged with driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license and leaving the scene of an accident, according to police. Police have not yet released the man’s identity. The man fled the scene of the accident and later was arrested nearby behind Carlock Nissan of Jackson, police said. The injured driver was transferred to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital with leg and torso injuries, police said.
