Gibson county man charged in weekend shooting

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — An arrest was made in a Gibson County shooting that sent one to the hospital. Humboldt Police said they arrested 34-year old Louis Bufford of Humboldt on charges of attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault. Early Saturday morning, authorities said Bufford shot the victim at 16th and Vine Street with a handgun while he was getting out of a vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life threatening wounds at Jackson General Hospital. Bufford is being held at the Gibson County Criminal Complex on $150,000 bond.
