DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A man was formally charged Monday in a Nov. 26 hit-and-run accident on Vann Drive that sent one man to a local hospital. Bryan Edward Rowell faces charges including reckless aggravated assault-DUI and driving after being declared a habitual offender, according to an affidavit. Rowell had previously been declared a habitual offender and his license revoked for DUI on Nov. 18, 2013, according to the documents. Officers responded to the accident Wednesday and discovered one of the drivers had left the scene. They then found the driver hiding in the woods and identified him as Rowell, according to the affidavit. Rowell was issued a $30,000 bond.
