Jackson man in court on resisting arrest charge

DOWNTOWN JACKSON — A Jackson man appeared before a judge Monday charged with resisting arrest and possession of marijuana. Hosandy Theus was stopped by police Saturday night on suspicion of trespassing. When officers searched Theus’ backpack for weapons, they reportedly found a bag of marijuana, according to court documents. Theus was then forced to the ground after allegedly trying to escape from officers, the documents state. Police found a total of 24 grams of marijuana along with a digital scale, according to the documents. Theus was issued a $15,000 bond.
