Apartment fire under investigation in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jackson firefighters responded to an apartment fire on Friday.

The fire happened earlier in the evening in the 500 block of Daugherty Street in east Jackson.

There were four apartments in one building, and now one of the apartments is gone.

According to Battalion Chief Randy Hayes, everyone got out safely and there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
