100 Black Men announce venue of annual gala

JACKSON, Tenn. — The 100 Black Men of West Tennessee have announced the venue for their annual scholarship gala. The 22nd annual fundraiser will take place at 7 p.m. Dec. 27 at the Carl Perkins Civic Center near downtown Jackson. This year’s theme will be Holiday Splendor 2014, and the community is asked to support the event that has raised more than $140,000 in scholarships for deserving young men from across the region. Jackson’s own Smooth Jazz Progressions and Will Graves and Soul will perform.
