Madison Co. officials approve school resource officer funds

MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — County commissioners approved funding Monday for three school resource officers in Jackson-Madison County. Commissioners approved $84,000 to go toward training the three officers for next school year. The city will no longer be footing the bill for the officers, keeping the number of SROs in the school system at 12. The same thing will happen next year, with the county taking over the funding for all resource officers in the school system.
