UPDATE: Power restored in west Jackson

WEST JACKSON, Tenn. –A traffic crash in west Jackson caused traffic to be rerouted overnight and was the cause for leaving many people in the area without power. According to eyewitnesses on the scene, a utility pole was hit by a vehicle at Grandview and North Parkway just after 10 p.m. The crash caused a power pole to break in half and knocked down power lines. According to JEA, crews were on scene until about 4:30 a.m. replacing the pole. No word on any injuries or details surrounding the crash. JEA also confirms roughly 825 customers were affected by the power outage.
