Tip leads to raid of alleged drug house in Tipton County

TIPTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A tip leads deputies to arrest four in an alleged drug selling operation in Tipton County. The Tipton County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that drugs were being sold at a residence in the 8600 block of Highway 59 in Burlison, according to a release from the office. Investigators confirmed the residence had heavy traffic, and when deputies went to speak with the occupants, they could smell what was believed to be marijuana, according to the release. When deputies executed a search warrant, they detained Daniel Allen Crain, 18, Cody Wayne Lohse, 24, and Jason Levi Butts, 18, who were living at the residence, according to the release. Taylor Furie Weather, 22, also was detained. During a search of Daniel Crain’s bedroom, investigators allegedly found about half a pound of what appeared to be marijuana, a 5.56 assault rifle with 14 magazines, a loaded .45 pistol and numerous glass pipes, according to the release. In Butts’ bedroom, investigators allegedly found about 13 grams of what appeared to be marijuana packaged separately and two glass pipes, according to the release. Deputies allegedly recovered about 15 grams of what appeared to be marijuana from Weathers, the release states. Crain is charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release. Butts, Lohse and Weathers are charged with possession with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the release. The four are free on bond awaiting their Jan. 23 court date, the release states.
