DYERSBURG, Tenn.- Police said a mother admits to beating a man with an ashtray, but she is not the one in trouble. Joseph Smith is charged with sexual battery of a 14-year-old girl. The woman who attacked him said she did so after finding him with her child in the bedroom. Officers said when they arrived, Smith was bleeding from the head.
