MADISON COUNTY, Tenn. — A victim of a strange home burglary spoke for the first time with WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News saying he fears he’ll never get his dogs back. It wasn’t just electronics taken from his Northeast Madison County home, but two pitbull puppies. Antonio Cole said the six and eight month old puppies were stolen from his home Wednesday. “I’m mad you know, but you only have control over so much,” Cole said. According to a sheriff’s report, a deputy was sent to the home on Christmasville Road Wednesday afternoon, after Cole discovered the break-in. As of Sunday, no suspects have been named, but Cole said he has an idea who is responsible. “You have to be bold enough to know, so I feel like it’s somebody that really knows my schedule for them to come in the middle of the day,” Cole said. Cole explailned in addition to the two puppies, one of his TV’s and Xbox were stolen and says while that stings, he wonders why they didn’t take more. “It just didn’t make sense to me like they didn’t ramble like nothing was turned over nothing looked like it was gone through it was just the TV and the Xbox.” Cole said besides his dogs, he feels lucky the things taken from him can be replaced. Cole said, “being honest I don’t really feel like they are going to find my stuff I don’t think I’ll ever see my dogs again.” Cole said without papers his puppies could sell for $200.
