Officers make arrest in Selmer bank robbery

HARDEMAN COUNTY, Tenn. — Officers have arrested a man they say is responsible for a bank robbery in Selmer, according to a release from the Selmer Police Department. Marty Holland, of Middleton, is charged in the Jan. 5 robbery of Home Banking Company in Selmer. Holland is charged with aggravated robbery and four counts of aggravated assault. Selmer police along with deputies with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at Holland’s residence Wednesday and found the vehicle used in the robbery and currency stolen from the bank, according to the release. Authorities identified Holland as a suspect with security video of his vehicle at the scene of the robbery, the release states.
