Police seek leads in shooting at east Jackson apartment complex

EAST JACKSON — Police are investigating a Wednesday shooting at an east Jackson apartment complex. No injuries were reported, and police have made no arrests. The shooting occurred around 1:30 p.m. near the 2000 building of Royal Arms Apartments on North Royal Street, according to Interim Police Chief Julian Wiser. Wiser said multiple shots were fired and that at least eight bullet holes were visible in the building. He said he believes the incident is drug related. Police found a car believed to be involved on nearby Tanglewood Lane. Anyone with information in the shooting is asked to call Jackson police or Crime Stoppers at (731) 424-TIPS (8477).
