HENDERSON, Tenn. — The city of Henderson held a special election Thursday for a sales tax referendum. That referendum passed easily, with 92 percent “For” and 8 percent “Against.” This vote means the sales tax will lower property taxes about 12 percent and put $180,000 into the school system.
